MAH CET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

MAH CET 2019 Eligibility Criteria must be checked by the candidates before filling the application form from the website:

General Eligibility

  • Applying candidate should be Indian National.

The eligibility criterion is of two types – A) Candidature Type and B) Course wise.

  • Candidature Type
    1. Maharashtra State Candidature: From Type A to E given below, candidates have to make choice of only one type of Maharashtra state candidature type.
Type Eligibility
A Candidate born in Maharashtra/domiciled in Maharashtra. He/she must be passed in SSC and HSC exams or Diploma in Engineering/B.Sc from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State.
B Candidate not falling in Type A but possess domicile certificate and whose father or mother is domiciled in Maharashtra.
C Candidate not falling in Type A or B but whose either of the parents is employed under Govt. of India or posted in Maharashtra State before last date of Application submission for CAP.
D Candidate not falling in Type A, B or C but whose either of the parents is an employee or retired employee under Govt. of Maharashtra.
E Candidate passing SSC/HSC exam from a recognized institution situated in disputed Karnataka Maharashtra Border Area OR residing in Maharashtra Karnataka Border region whose mother tongue is Marathi.
  1. All India Candidature: Under this category, Indian national candidates are eligible.
  2. J&K Migrant Candidature: Candidates who are displaced from J&K to other parts of India/Children of IAS or IFS or IPS transferred to Jammu and Kashmir/Children of staff and officers of J&K police.
  3. Minority Candidature: Candidates belonging to particular religious or linguistic minority community from Maharashtra State.

For Engineering & Technology Programmes

  1. Maharashtra State Candidature:
    • Candidate must have passed his/her HSC exam or its equivalent with minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories belonging to Maharashtra state only) with the subjects of Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical or other vocational subjects OR
    • Passed in Diploma in Engineering & Technology with minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only) OR
    • Passed B.Sc degree with atleast of 50% marks (45% for reserved candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only)+ passed 12th level with Mathematics subject from a recognized University defined by UGC.
  2. All India Candidature and J&K Migrant Candidature:
    • Candidate must have passed his/her HSC exam or its equivalent with minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories belonging to Maharashtra state only) with the subjects of Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical or other vocational subjects+ Obtained score in JEE Main Paper 1 or in MHT-CET 2019 OR
    • Passed in Diploma in Engineering & Technology with minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only) OR
    • Passed B.Sc degree with atleast of 50% marks (45% for reserved candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only) + passed 12th level with Mathematics subject from a recognized University defined by UGC.

For Pharmacy Programmes

All India Candidature andMaharashtra State Candidature

  • Candidate must have passed his/her HSC exam or its equivalent with minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories belonging to Maharashtra state only) with the compulsory subjects of Physics and Chemistry along with one of the Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology
  • Secured score in MHT CET 2018.
